A person was transported from the scene in critical condition when a passenger car collided with a semi truck this morning on U.S. 77 highway.
A passenger vehicle could be seen trapped under the trailer of the semi. The accident was blocking both southbound lanes of the highway at the intersection of 77 and the bypass north of Ark City.
Radio information from the scene indicated a person was trapped in the passenger car and had to be extricated. They were then taken to the hospital.
The accident occurred sometime before 10 a.m. Additional details have not been made available, thus far. Emergency personnel and a wrecker service were at the scene for processing and clean up.
