The Ark City boys basketball team never trailed in a 77-66 home win over Newton on Friday. Jaxon Jackson led the Bulldogs with 26 points and Ark City went 12-19 from three-point range. The Bulldogs, winners of three if their last four, improve to 4-6 on the season.
The Lady Bulldogs won their second game of the season in a 38-28 win over Newton. Maliyah Bell led AC with 12 points and Gracie Phillips added 11. The girls are 2-8 on the season.
The Bulldogs travel to Salina for games against Salina Central High School at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
