TOPEKA — Webster Roth, R-Winfield, officially filed for re-election Monday, seeking another term representing Kansas House District 79.
Roth has served in the Kansas House since 2023. In a statement announcing his candidacy, Roth said support for his campaign has grown over the past two election cycles and credited voters across party lines for trusting him to represent their interests in Topeka.
Roth said his priorities for the upcoming term include eliminating property taxes, lowering utility rates and reducing the overall cost of living in Kansas. He also emphasized fiscal responsibility, accountability for state agencies and simplifying the tax code as ways to provide tax relief for Kansans.
“I have worked hard for the people of District 79, and I will keep working to make Kansas a more affordable, prosperous place to live,” Roth said.
The 79th includes portions of Cowley and Sumner counties, including Winfield and parts of Wellington and Ark City.
