Stuart L. Jarrett, 70, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday morning, April 6, 2026, at Chisholm Place in Wichita.
Born January 4, 1956, in Pittsburg, Kansas, he was the son of Jack and Eva (Pitzer) Jarrett. He was raised and received his education throughout south central Kansas, including Udall, Burden, Viola, and Winfield. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1974 and attended Southwestern College one year.
He was united in marriage to Anne Straube on February 2, 1979, at First Presbyterian Church in Winfield. The couple made their home in Winfield. Stuart owned and operated Jarrett’s 66 Service in Burden, Kansas for several years, before working at Koehn Motors in Wellington, Kansas for over 22 years, as a Ford Certified Master. Technician. In 2007, he started Jarrett’s Woodworking, creating custom cabinetry, mouldings, and other wood products. Stuart would ship his rosettes and plinth blocks all over the country. Growing up and throughout his adult life, Stuart always had at least one beagle at home. He attended Grace United Methodist Church.
His family includes his wife Anne Jarrett of Winfield; his children, C.J. Kirkpatrick and wife, Jennifer of Fort Lewis, WA; Amanda Adkins of Omaha, NE; Scott Jarrett and wife, Stephanie of Lakewood, CO; his sister Deb Schmidt of Salina; and his grandchildren, Dagny, Declan, Jackson, and Jameson.
In addition to his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by a sister Barbara.
Memorial services will be held at Grace United Methodist Church on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:00 AM under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
A memorial has been established in Stuart’s name for Grace United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
