Arkansas City Public Schools has selected Lauren Rosales as its next director of curriculum and instruction.
Rosales has been with USD 470 for more than 14 years and currently serves as principal at Jefferson Elementary School. Her experience also includes time as a teacher, coach and assistant high school principal, giving her background at both the elementary and secondary levels.
“I’ve valued my time working closely with students and families, and that is something I will really miss,” Rosales said. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to support the work I’m already deeply invested in across the district and help move it forward in a consistent and meaningful way.”
The move is part of broader leadership changes within the district.
Current Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Braden Smith will transition into the assistant superintendent of business and operations role, aligning with Will Pfannenstiel’s move into the superintendent position. Continue below ad.
“Braden and Lauren are trusted leaders who care deeply about our students, staff and community,” Pfannenstiel said. “I have full confidence in both of them and am excited to work together as a team as we continue building on our progress and exploring new opportunities for our district.”
