Ark City Hospital receives nearly $2.4 million grant through KDHE program

SCK Health has been awarded more than $2.37 million through the Kansas Rural Health Transformation Program, according to an announcement released Friday.

Hospital officials said the funding will support continued efforts to strengthen rural health care services in Cowley County and help improve access to care in the region. The award totals $2,378,188 and was provided through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment’s Rural Health Transformation Program.

SCK Health leaders said the funding will be used to help advance long-term sustainability, improve patient care and support ongoing transformation efforts designed to meet the needs of rural communities. Continue below ad.

The Arkansas City-based hospital has been involved in several recent initiatives focused on strengthening services and adapting to the changing landscape of rural health care.

Hospital officials announced the award Friday and said additional details regarding projects and implementation are expected to follow.
