Though originally from the East Coast, Gatton and her husband, Ron, have longstanding ties to south central Kansas through his family in Burden. The couple retired to Winfield in 2010 after decades of visiting the area.

Hospital Interim CEO Gigi Fergus said Gatton’s background in nursing, long-term care and healthcare education will provide valuable clinical insight to the board.
