Angela “Anji” Gail Riegel, 70, of Winfield, KS went to be with the love of her life Gary on August 29, 2026 at Via Cristi St. Teresa in Wichita.
A celebration of life will be held at Island Park when the weather is cooler.
Anji was born at McConnell AFB in Wichita to parents Jimmie and Bobbie (Hotchkin) Riegel Sr. She attended many high schools as the family moved, including Winfield and Douglass High School at Ellsworth AFB SD. She worked for 25 years at the Winfield State Hospital before its closing when she got her LPN and worked as a traveling nurse. On January 24, 2000, she was united in marriage to the love of her life Gary Ridgeway. Anji enjoyed cross stitching, going to Art in the Park, her dog ‘Taco Bella” but most of all she loved being with her grandbabies.
She is survived her daughters Dawn Neises (Christina), Misty Finch, and Stacy Ridgeway, siblings Jimmie Riegel Jr. Suzanna Dailey, and Christopher Riegel, grandchildren Robert (Martha), Anjelika, Abbigail, Maryssa, Gavin, Zandar and Cheyenne, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughters Cynthia Johnson, and Kristi Ross.
