A railroad crossing on K-15 east of Udall will close today (Sept. 9) for repair work, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
The BNSF Railway crossing is about a half-mile west of the K-15 junction with U.S. 77.
During the closure, motorists should follow the signed detour using K-55, U.S. 81, U.S. 160 and U.S. 77. That route creates a lengthy detour around the area that is the official route for commercial truck traffic.
BNSF and its subcontractors will oversee the repairs and manage traffic control. The crossing is expected to reopen by Saturday, conditions permitting. Continue story below ad.
