Arkansas City Public Schools is asking students, employees, families and community members to help shape the district’s priorities for the coming years.
USD 470 has opened a districtwide Strategic Planning Survey to students in grades seven through 12, district employees, parents and guardians, and members of the community. The survey will remain open through Sept. 18.
District officials said the responses will help identify what is working well, areas that need improvement and the issues that should receive priority as USD 470 plans for the future.
“This process is about listening and making sure our future direction reflects the needs of our students, staff, families, and community,” Superintendent Will Pfannenstiel said. “We hope people will take a few minutes to complete the survey and share what they believe should be important as we plan for the future of Arkansas City Public Schools.”
USD 470 is also assembling a Strategic Planning Task Force made up of students, employees, parents and guardians, business leaders and other community members.
The task force will review the survey results and help develop a shared vision for the district, identify priorities and create goals and strategies.
Dr. Shiloh Vincent, executive director of ESSDACK, will facilitate the planning process.
