Dr. Michelle Schoon plans to retire as president of Cowley College early next year. She informed the school’s board of trustees of her decision Monday.
When contacted for comment Tuesday, Schoon said the school was preparing a media statement and would provide information soon.
In 2023, she was named to the job on an interim basis and eventually took the position full time. She is the college’s first woman president.
She has served at the college in various positions since 1991.
