Cowley College Board of Trustees member Christopher Swan has resigned.

According to notes from the board’s Monday meeting released by the college Tuesday, the board accepted Swan’s resignation and approved the clerk to publish official notice of a trustee vacancy.
Swan was selected by the board in July 2020 to fill a vacancy left by Jill Long, who resigned in April 2020 along with Bob Juden.
Swan was one of six individuals who had submitted letters of interest to fill the two vacancies. JoLynn Foster was selected to fill Juden’s seat.
Swan took over a seat that still had 3.5 years left in its term and he would’ve been up for reelection in 2024.
Swan is the fourth member to resign from the board since April 2020. Nancy Burger resigned in July 2020.
