ACPD increases presence around Ark City High School for seatbelt enforcement campaign

The Arkansas City Police Department is participating in the SAFE (Seatbelts Are for Everyone) Seatbelt Enforcement Campaign through March 8.

According to a news release from the ACPD Monday, the campaign began this week.

“Citizens should expect an increased police traffic enforcement presence around the Arkansas City High School,” the police department said. “This specific campaign is an effort to increase seatbelt compliance.

“As always, the safety of all occupants and citizens is a primary concern for the Arkansas City Police Department. All drivers and occupants are encouraged to wear their seatbelts, and while seatbelts are a primary focus, officers will continue to enforce all traffic laws.”
