The City of Arkansas City will host a Business SIGNS Grant information meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, 118 W. Central Ave.
The meeting will provide an overview of the Kansas Department of Commerce SIGNS Grant program, including eligibility requirements and the local application process ahead of the Feb. 28 application deadline. The city plans to apply on behalf of participating businesses located in qualifying commercial areas.
The grant is designed to strengthen commercial districts by supporting new or improved storefront signage for eligible consumer-facing businesses, such as retail stores and restaurants. Eligible expenses may include sign design, fabrication, lighting, electrical work and installation.
Crystal Hinnen, grant writer and grant administrator with Ranson Financial Group LLC, will be on site to answer questions. The meeting will also be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
