The Arkansas City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person who was found deceased inside a residence Tuesday in the 400 block of South 10th Street.
According to a Wednesday news release, officers were dispatched to the home at approximately noon on June 30 after receiving a report of a deceased individual. Officers and investigators responded and confirmed one person was dead.
Police said investigators processed the scene and conducted interviews as the investigation continues.
The deceased was transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center for an autopsy. Investigators said the cause and manner of death will not be known until the examination is complete.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed.
