A new splash pad at Wilson Park in Arkansas City is scheduled to officially open May 22 with a public event planned from 2 to 4 p.m.
The opening day gathering will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce, a Touch-a-Truck event and the first public use of the splash pad.
