Bridge replacement work is underway east of Winfield for two bridges north of Dexter.
According to Cowley County officials, work began Monday and should be completed near the end of September 2024.
Barricades have been placed on the west side of the 162nd Road and 251st Road intersection, and approximately 0.34 miles east of the K15 and 162nd intersection.
“These barricades will allow for local traffic to pass, with unpassable barricades being placed on the east and west sides of the bridges,” the county said.
Traffic to the east will be rerouted north on 251st Road to U.S. 160.
Traffic from the west will be rerouted north on 160 through Burden.
