The Cowley County Fair Association has announced new events and a Friday night concert for this summer’s fair in Winfield.
“Red Dirt superstars Jason Boland and Stoney LaRue will perform a show like you’ve never seen before,” the fair association posted on its Facebook page Tuesday. “Kicking off the evening will be up and coming country singer Caroline Grace. Tickets will be on sale soon. We will also be partnering with a local bottle service to provide a beer garden for this event only.”
The fair association also announced an “ATV Rodeo” to start the grandstand events Thursday night.
“This year’s Thursday night grandstand event will feature two shows incorporated into one fun-filled event,” the association announced. “The fair board will be producing an ATV Rodeo consisting of ATV barrel racing and poles. In addition, Midwest Pullers LLC will bring to us the Midwest Dirt Slingers Invitational which will consist of garden tractor pulls featuring a wide array of hot rod garden tractors.”
The fair announced Wednesday morning Figure 8 races will again be the Saturday night event. For Sunday and Monday, PRCA rodeo returns both nights.
The 2023 Cowley County Fair will be at the Winfield Fairgrounds starting Aug. 3.
