The Cowley County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two reports of cattle theft from pastureland in the northwest part of Cowley County. In a separate statement, the sheriff’s dept. indicated the thefts occurred in the Atlanta area.
The first report was received on Friday, September 12, 2025, and a second report was made on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. In total, approximately 30 head of cattle have been reported stolen.
Deputies are actively investigating both cases and are working closely with neighboring law enforcement agencies, area ranchers, and livestock markets in an effort to track the movement of the stolen cattle.
Sheriff David Falletti urges residents, particularly those in rural and agricultural areas, to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity involving livestock transport or unfamiliar vehicles near pastures.
