A Winfield man was airlifted to a Wichita hospital following a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in Cowley County.
Sheriff’s deputies responded around 6:50 p.m. to U.S. 77 and 222nd Road.
Authorities said 61-year-old Guadalupe Diaz was northbound in a blue 1992 Ford F-150 when a white Jeep—possibly a Wrangler—entered the highway from 222nd Road and struck his pickup.
The Jeep then left the scene. Its driver has not been identified.
Diaz was flown by EagleMed to Wesley Medical Center. The extent of his injuries remains unknown.
