Heavy rain and flooding is expected starting Monday evening through Tuesday night in Cowley County and surrounding areas, according to the National Weather Service in Wichita.
A Flood Watch has been issued for the region.
The main threat will be localized flooding from heavy rainfall and also the potential for river and small stream flooding that could continue into Tuesday night or Wednesday.
NWS reminds residents to not drive through flooded roadways and to have a plan to get to higher ground if flooding threatens.
