Grant clears way for new hire, position at local charity organization

Legacy Regional Community Foundation has announced a new position and hire to its organization.

“Legacy Regional Community Foundation is excited to announce the addition of Tim Rosproy to the Legacy team,” a press release said. “Rosproy is the newest member of the Legacy team, joining in February 2024.

“Rosproy is serving the newly created position of Capacity Building Coordinator, thanks to a generous grant from the Kansas Health Foundation.”

Legacy Foundation is a 501(c) 3 non-profit philanthropic organization founded in Winfield.

In 2023, the foundation award over $818,000 in grants to benefit the region, in addition to growing foundation assets to over $10.2 million, according to the foundation.

Rosproy is a graduate of Southwestern College, where he studied psychology, political science, and leadership studies and was an active member of Leadership Southwestern. He has experience in grant-writing, non-profit organizing, management, and distribution.

Rospory lives in Winfield with his wife, Tabatha.

“We are fortunate the leadership of Legacy and Kansas Health Foundation recognize the impact and growing work of our community foundation throughout our region and have chosen to invest in additional professional staff,” Legacy Chief Executive Officer Yazmin Wood said. “Tim is charged with grant writing, program development and outreach to build relationships and financial stability within the Foundation, grantees and area nonprofit organizations while cultivating connected support systems.

“We intend to demonstrate the measured impact of capacity building on social drivers of health in the region.”
