A 40-year-old male was found with stab wounds Friday night in Ark City and a juvenile was arrested, according to a news release from the Ark City Police Department Tuesday morning.
At approximately 10:46 p.m., the ACPD was dispatched to Chestnut Avenue and Summit Street to check on a male pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers located a 40-year-old male, who was found to have injuries, which included stab wounds.
Ark City Fire/EMS was dispatched to the scene.
Through the initial investigation, officers learned that an altercation took place in the area of C Street.
Officers quickly identified a group of juveniles involved in the incident. The male victim was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment and has since been released.
One juvenile was arrested, and charges will be presented to the Cowley County Attorney’s office in the coming days for the remaining juveniles.
