A 74-year-old Oxford man was injured in a crash Tuesday night west of Winfield.
According to authorities, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a white 1996 Chevrolet Suburban driven by Phil Johnson, of Oxford, was traveling west on U.S. 160 in the 6000 block when he lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, struck an electrical pole and then collided with a tree.
Johnson was transported by Winfield EMS to William Newton Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
An update on his condition was not immediately available.
