Motorists traveling through Winfield should expect a temporary closure on U.S. 77 beginning Saturday as the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad repairs its crossing between 5th and 6th streets.
The crossing will be fully closed starting Saturday, with work expected to be completed early next week, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
During the closure, traffic will be directed along the official state detour using U.S. 77, K-55 and K-15, U.S. 81 and U.S. 160. Drivers may also use alternate local routes that are not part of the signed detour. Continue below ad.
