The Kaw Nation and Rock & Brews Casino have announced plans for a major expansion at the Braman casino property, including a 25,000-square-foot entertainment center and a new full-service RV park.
According to a written release, the project will add a new venue called “R&B Live,” a 1,000-seat entertainment center designed for concerts, comedy acts, boxing, MMA, trade shows and other events. Plans also include a bistro-style bar, VIP dining room and retail store featuring Rock & Brews merchandise.
“We’re building more than an entertainment venue — we’re creating a destination,” said Bruce McClure, general manager of Rock & Brews Casino. “This expansion gives us the ability to bring in larger events, attract travelers along the I-35 corridor and continue growing the experience we offer our guests and the surrounding region.”
The expansion will also include a 21-space RV park located southeast of the casino near Interstate 35. Casino officials said the park will feature full hookups for water, sewer and electricity, along with a 1,200-square-foot clubhouse offering restrooms, showers and laundry facilities.
Officials said the RV park project grew out of the casino’s existing boondocking program for RV travelers. Bill Schutte, president of Kaw Gaming Inc., said demand from overnight RV guests helped lead to development of the full-service facility. Continue below ad.
Rock & Brews Casino, co-founded through a partnership involving members of the rock band KISS, including Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, opened as the first Rock & Brews Casino property in the country. General Manager Bruce McClure said the property has been voted “Best Casino” in Kay County three straight years from 2023 through 2025.
Kaw Nation Chair Kim Jenkins called the project a major investment in the future of the tribe and said the entertainment center will provide space for concerts, cultural gatherings and community events.
Construction on both projects is scheduled to begin this month. Casino officials expect the RV park to be completed by August, while the entertainment center is projected to open in May 2027.
