Authorities say a fatal pedestrian crash in late February has been ruled an accident.
Cowley County Sheriff David Falletti said the investigation determined Kasey Joe Barclay, 32, formerly of Ponca City, Oklahoma, walked into traffic prior to being struck.
The crash occurred Feb. 28 at approximately 7:20 p.m. at U.S. 77 and 242nd Road. The driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The accident occurred on a well-traveled section of highway just north of Ark City.
