Three people were taken to a hospital following a two-vehicle crash Monday night on U.S. 160 east of the Kansas Turnpike near Wellington.

The crash occurred at approximately 8:50 p.m., when a 2015 Ford Escape pulling out of a private drive failed to yield to an eastbound 2010 Subaru Impreza, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The driver of the Ford, 35-year-old Steven R. Hunter of Wellington, and two passengers — Herbert L. Hunter, 70, and Jeffery L. Hunter, 43, also of Wellington — were transported to the Wellington hospital with possible injuries.

The driver of the Subaru, a 16-year-old boy from Oxford, was not injured.

All individuals were reported to be wearing seat belts.
