Arkansas City Public Schools has launched the search for its next superintendent and is inviting parents, students, staff and community members to share their input.
The USD 470 Board of Education has partnered with ESSDACK, a Kansas-based education leadership search firm, to assist with the process. Community feedback will be used to help develop a leadership profile that will guide candidate screening and interviews.
You can take a survey seeking your input, by clicking here.
ESSDACK Executive Director Dr. Chad Higgins is serving as lead consultant for the search. In a message to the community, Higgins encouraged stakeholders to complete a brief, confidential survey designed to identify leadership qualities, priorities and competencies needed to lead the district.
Survey responses will remain confidential and will be used to support the work of the search committee and the board, according to ESSDACK.
In addition to the survey, a community forum is planned for Feb. 10 to provide another opportunity for residents to learn more about the search process and share feedback. Additional details about the forum are expected to be released soon.
