William Newton Hospital CEO Ben Quinton will remain on paid administrative leave, its board of trustees decided Thursday.
According to a press release from the Winfield-based hospital Friday, the leave has been extended for a period of up to 14 days.
Quinton was first put on paid administrative leave on June 30.
At the monthly meeting on Thursday, the board called a closed executive session to discuss non-elected personnel. The board voted unanimously to take this action after reconvening in an open session.
Quinton joined William Newton Hospital as CEO in March 2013.
