A Winfield woman died Friday morning following a single-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 160.
Candice Bergeson, 43, was ejected from a blue 2008 Volvo XC70 when it rolled over in the 2000 block of U.S. 160, west of Winfield, at approximately 7:40 a.m., according to the Cowley County Sheriff’s Office.
She was transported to William Newton Memorial Hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Witnesses who observed the accident stopped and rendered aid until emergency personnel arrived. Authorities expressed appreciation for their assistance.
Next of kin have been notified, and officials said the investigation into the crash has been completed.
