Autumn J. Putman, 50, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Monday, August 25, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Born March 4, 1975, in Emporia, Kansas, she was the daughter of Loel and Mica (Olson) Bohannan. She was raised and received her education in Burden, graduating from Central High School in 1993. After high school, she attended Cowley County Community College, graduating with an Associate degree in Accounting in 1995. She then worked several odd jobs before beginning her career at the Kansas Veterans Home in 2003. She started in housekeeping and later became a CNA. She remained at the Veterans Home for over 20 years. In 2024, she started working as a Para Educator at Irving Elementary.
Autumn was united in marriage to Prewitt Putman on March 3, 2022, in Arkansas City, Kansas. The couple made their home in Winfield. Autumn was a member of the First Baptist Church in Burden. She enjoyed diamond painting, reading, collecting figurines of dairy cows, and playing with her dog Scruffy. She has also been active in Relay For Life for the past ten years.
Her family includes her husband Prewitt Putman of Winfield; her parents Loel and Mica Bohannan of Winfield; her daughter Emily Crawford of Rock; her sister Danielle Sommer of Topeka; and numerous extended family.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield. Private interment will take place at Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials have been established in Autumn’s name for the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America and for the First Baptist Church of Burden. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
