Bobby Lee “Bob” Gray, 80, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026, at his home surrounded by family.
Born August 14, 1945, in Ramona, Oklahoma, he was the son of Lawrence and Evelyn (Minick) Gray. He was raised and received his education in Ramona, graduating from Ramona High School in 1963. He graduated from the Auto Mechanics Program in December, 1965 from Okmulgee Tech (OSUIT)
Bob was united in marriage to Janette Birmingham on August 14, 1965, in Nowata, Oklahoma. The couple lived in Okmulgee, Oklahoma for a very short time before moving to Bartlesville. They lived in Bartlesville until 1977, when they made their home in Winfield, Kansas. Bob worked at Farmland/Coop, which later became Coffeyville Resources, starting as a mechanic and retiring as an Oil Gauger.
Bob was a member of GracePointe Assembly of God, and served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and Care Pastor. He loved the Lord and serving God above all. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. In his later years, he enjoyed writing commentaries. He especially loved spending time with his family, serving at his church, and studying the Word of God. He was a faithful friend who anyone could count on.
His family includes his wife of over 60 years, Janette Gray of Winfield; his children, Shelley Teague and husband, Brent, serving in Africa; Rob Gray of Greenfield, OK; Cheryl Cook and husband, Nathan of Winfield; his brother Wayne Gray and wife, Janice of Searcy, AR; his sisters, Lenora Fugate and husband, Willard of Colorado Springs, CO; Lola Barnes and husband, Darrel of Bartlesville, OK; Deloris King and husband, Don of Mission, TX; Bonnie Spratt and husband, Jack of Tulsa, OK; his grandchildren, Ashley Teague, Amber (Jonathan) Ennis, Samantha Gray, Zachary (Bethany) Cook, Skyler (Damian) Causgrove, Sage Cook, Kendall Cook; his great grandchildren, Oakleigh Cook, Joshua Ennis, Olive Cook, Aaron Cook, Hannah Ennis, Anthem Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Dale Gray, sisters, Betty, Dorothy, and Nancy Gray, sister in love Troyce Davis, five angel grandchildren and one angel great grandchild.
A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4 to 8 PM. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 2026, at GracePointe Assembly of God Church. Interment is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Ramona Cemetery in Ramona, Oklahoma.
A memorial has been established in Bob’s name for GracePointe Assembly of God. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
