Brian Rowan
1968-2026

Gary Brian Rowan, 57, died Friday, July 3, 2026 on the families ranch outside of Winfield, Kansas surrounded by his family.

Brian was born on July 7, 1968 in Wellington, Kansas, the son of Gary and Shirley Jean Rowan. After his dad returned from the VietNam War they moved to Wichita where Brian was raised. His father died on September 12, 1984, Brian moved with his mother and two sisters, Michelle and Crystal, to Winfield where he graduated from Winfield High School in 1986.

Brian always loved fast cars, especially “Bonnie Blue” his 72 Chevelle SS. He enjoyed tinkering on his cars and whatever small farm equipment that needed tended to.

Brian started work as a driver for Daniel’s Ready-Mix Concrete and after a period became the manager for their second location, American Concrete in Arkansas City. He worked for the Daniel’s Family for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diane King Bowlin of the home; children Andi Gillett and husband Kyle of Winfield, Brianne Newell and husband Andrew of Tulsa, Michael Bowlin and wife Monica of Winfield; and sisters Michelle Rowan of Winfield, Crystal Driskill and husband Derek of Goddard.

Brian was especially proud of his two grandchildren and five great grandchildren who he loved to spend time with. His grandchildren are Jacob Beeson (wife Charis) of Pratt, and Kiley Beeson of Arkansas City; and great grandchildren Israel Beeson, Boaz Beeson, Rosemary Beeson, Hazel Jett, and Leo Jett.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family.

Brian’s care has been entrusted with Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Kansas.
