Clara Kathleen Ramsey, 66, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026.
Born January 18, 1959, in Winfield, she was the daughter of Robert and Elaine (Noone) Hanshaw. She was raised and received her education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School in 1977.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Joe Ramsey. The couple made their home in Winfield. Kathleen worked in landscaping most of her life. She worked for a short time at Ark City Greenhouse and later for Floid McCord. She also worked independently for many residents in the area. She loved operating her own garden, selling produce to local restaurants, residents, and Bluegrass attendees. Ronald preceded her in death on June 11, 1993. Kathleen enjoyed going to Bluegrass, fishing, attending garage sales, and collecting things.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Heidi Hanshaw of Winfield; her cousins Brad Hanshaw of Winfield and Bruce Hanshaw of Houston, TX; and numerous friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathleen was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and David Hanshaw, and a sister Linda Hanshaw.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
A memorial has been established in Kathleen’s name for the American Cancer Society. Contributions may be made through Miles Funeral Service.
