Constance “Connie” Louise Wacker
1938 - 2025

Constance Louise “Connie” Wacker, 86, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 25, 2025, at Cumbernauld Village.

Born April 12, 1938, in rural Conway Springs, she was the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Harrington) Glantz. She was raised and received her education in Anson and Argonia, graduating from Argonia High School. She then attended Friends University.

She was united in marriage to Donald L. Wacker on June 7, 1957, in Argonia. The couple made their first home in Argonia, where Connie worked as a Real Estate Agent and served as the second female Mayor of Argonia. The couple moved to Winfield in 1995. Connie co-owned Donna’s Designs with her daughter, Donna and worked as a florist until retiring in 2014. Don preceded her in death on January 20, 2008.

Connie was a member of First United Methodist Church as well as being a prior member of the Soroptimists of Winfield. She enjoyed playing Bridge and gardening.

Her family includes her brother Bob Glantz of Winfield; her granddaughters, Allison Homan and husband, Ethan Potts of Winfield; Cassie Thiessen and husband, Greg of Beloit; and her great grandchildren, Kenyon, Braylon, Evie, Grayson, and Eden.

In addition to her father Albert Glantz, mother Margaret Harrington Glantz Jeseph, and husband, Donald, Connie was preceded in death by her daughter Donna L. Homan DeMint, and her sister Judy Bennett.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 31, 2025, at First United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled with the family on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 P.M. at Miles Funeral Service.

A memorial has been established in Connie’s name for First United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
