David Tommy Roberts

David Tommy Roberts, 62, of Gueda Springs, KS passed away on March 16, 2025, doing what he loved, hiking the Ouachita trail with his wife.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, March 21, 2025 at the Gueda Springs Cemetery. A time of viewing, without the family present, will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, March 20 at the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Arkansas City. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Berachah Church (R.B. Thieme Jr. Bible Ministries) or Friends of the Ouachita Trail, memorial contributions may be left in the care of the funeral home.
David was born on September 9, 1962 in WaKeeney, KS to parents Tommy and Delberta (Coulter) Roberts. He graduated from Trego Community High School in 1980 and then graduated from K-State University with a degree in Ag-Mech. On January 3, 1987 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Kimberlee Holloway in Maple City, KS. David worked for Lovell Farms after college and later started his own farm between Oxford and Gueda Springs. He worked hard for many years and retired in 2021 to travel with his wife. They hiked on the CDT for six months, as and also hiked the AZT, and in Colorado, Montana and the Grand Canyon. David enjoyed K-State and KC Chiefs football, reading, tinkering, and learning, he was especially interested in Lochs and Dams. He was an Eagle scout, enjoyed being on the beach, was a volunteer firefighter, on the Twin Rivers CO-OP Board, and the Valverde Township Board. David cast a wide net and loved life. He also loved God and spending time enjoying His creation.
David is survived by his wife, parents, and son Corbin Roberts. He is preceded in death by his son Baby Roberts.
