Deborah A. Norton, 72, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Thursday evening, November 14, 2024, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita.
Born April 6, 1952, in Morris, Indiana, she was the daughter of Arthur and Ida (Barre) Rogian. She was raised and received her education in Shelbyville, Indiana.
Debbie was united in marriage to Jerry Norton on October 13, 1989, in Bentonville, Arkansas. The couple made their home in Winfield. They owned and operated Norton Enterprises and Debbie worked as the shop foreman.
She was a member of Tisdale Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, making quilts, playing slot machines, and baking. She also enjoyed taking care of the chickens and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Her family includes her husband Jerry of Winfield; her daughters, Amanda Dvorak (Shane Fogle) of Winfield; Cindy Derifield of Park City; her siblings, Rodney Rogian, Steve Rogian, Jackie Nasby, Sandy Bittinger, Mary Bremer; her grandchildren, Logan Satterfield, Mason Peters (Logan Branscum), Regan Lauffer, Gabrielle Derifield, Emma Derifield, and Tristan Derifield; her great grandson Zaylynn; her brother-in-law Gene Norton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Debbie was preceded in death by siblings, Linda Rogian, Mike Rogian, Vickie Rogian, Greg Rogian, Mark Rogian, and a son David Norton.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors from 4 to 6 that evening.
A memorial has been established in Debbie’s name for Tisdale Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
