Gary LeRoy Glasgow passed away Friday September 19, 2025 in Lee Summit, Missouri.
Gary was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on February 15, 1939 to Herbert Glasgow and Thelma George Glasgow. He graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1957. In 1963 Gary received a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design from The University of Kansas. This is also where he met his wife Mollye. They were married at the KU Chapel that same year.
Gary worked in the design industry for most of his adult life, including designing vending machines at the "Vendo Company” in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1972 Gary moved to Lamar, Missouri continuing his design work at O’Sullivan Industries for more than two more decades. In 1980 Gary decided to follow his real passion in life, Custom Cars, and started Night Prowlers, Inc. selling custom car accessories for another 15 years.
Gary was “lost in the 50’s” his whole life and became an important influence in the automotive scene. Attending multiple car shows every year, Garys cars would often be one of the crowd favorites and he had more than one room full of awards and trophies.
He was a founding member of the Rodtiques Car Club and is a member of the Kustom Kemp Hall of Fame.
Gary is survived by his grandsons Logan and Sterling Riegel.
He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Thelma Glasgoow; his wife Mollye Glasgow and his daughter Kim Riegel.
Graveside services will be at the Springside Cemetery in Arkansas City, Kansas at 1:00 Thursday September 25th.
