Gerald E. Fry
1932 - 2026

Jerry enlisted in the U.S.A.F. in April, 1951, during the Korean War. He was a tail gunner on a Boeing B-50 bomber with the 64th bomb squadron.

After discharge from the Air Force in October 19153, he joined the Arkansas City Police Department January 1, 1954, resigned in October 1956, and was later rehired in June 1959. From that time to June 1981, he served as Patrolman for 4 years, Sergeant for 7 years, Lieutenant for 10 years and Detective Lieutenant for 4 years. When he retired, he had served for 25 years.

In June 1981, he went to work for Western Manufacturing, who later sold to Montgomery Elevator Co. Montgomery was later sold to Kone Elevator. Jerry worked for these companies for 18 years before retiring in December 1999 from the Engineering Department.

He is survived by his wife Joy, sons Clinton & Matthew, daughters Stacey Hall (John) & Cassie Belle (Brett), brother Phillip Stacy (Carol), several nieces, nephews, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons and 1 great-granddaughter.

Cremation has been effected and no services are planned.
