LaDonna “Donna” Kay Stafford-Morton, 55, of Arkansas City, KS, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday, September 18, 2026, at her home.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on October 24, 2026, at the Church of God in Ark City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.
Donna was born on January 15, 1971, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to parents John Reeves and Barbara (McCalla) Foster. She attended high school at Murphysboro, IL. In 2012, Donna united with her life partner, Perry Morton. She was a prolific seamstress, even making quilts and other crafts. Donna was an “all or nothing” lady; she was always willing to help others and tell them how to fix their problems, but that was how you knew she cared. Her world revolved around her dog Tippy- raising her, throwing frisbees, and bubble machines. Her dog, Tippy, and her family will miss her deeply.
Donna is survived by her mother, Barbara Foster, sisters Kim, Beck, and Erica, husband Perry Morton, stepdaughter Crystal Morton, 2 aunts and 1 uncle, and numerous nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her father.
