Lynn Marie Phillips
1983---2024

Lynn Marie Phillips, 41, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away at Wesley Medical Center on November 30, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.

After three years, four months, and two days of fighting, I have finally won my battle, and now sit at the feet of Jesus. I have been blessed to live my final years with my best friend and devoted husband, Casey Phillips and our children, Addy and Cale Phillips. I am joining my father-in-law Rick Phillips and I leave on earth my parents Ron and Kathy (Fugate) Dauber; siblings, Sara and Becky Dauber; remaining grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and the rest of my family and friends.

Between growing up in this community and enjoying this beautiful area of Winfield, my time on earth has been abundantly blessed. Some of the most compassionate people live here and are what makes this small town so special. I am blessed to have found my church home, Harvest Christian Church. Death at 41 years of age was never in my five or ten year plan, or even my 20 year plan. Especially not with two children still at home and in the best years of my marriage. This whole ordeal has taken so much from my family, but it has taught me some valuable insights. One of the most important lessons this journey has taught me is that your plans and God’s plans rarely align. So, remember when you’re making your plans, they really are tentative. When is the last time you let your friends and family know that you appreciate them and invested your time in them? Your life would look a lot different without them in it, you know? If you still have your spouse with you earthside, spend time with them. Imagine sitting in the shoes of my husband who wishes he had just a bit more time with his wife and children together.

Spend time with your kids, put your phone down, pause your work, and give them a hug. Tell them how proud you are of them, love all over them, and invest in quality time with them. Travel regularly, seek and experience things and places with them, they need you. Most of all, I encourage you, if you haven’t already, to find a church home. If you’re reading this, there’s at least one open chair now at Harvest Christian Church. They will greet you with open arms, just like they did me, and you will feel right at home. To all my family and friends, thank you. I will see you again. With all my love, Lynn Marie Phillips.

In lieu of flowers, I ask that donations be made directly to the Phillips Family Benefit Fund for my children’s education. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Central Baptist Church in Winfield. Interment will follow at Maple City Cemetery. Dinner and fellowship will follow at Baden Square at 5:30 P.M. A visitation is scheduled at Miles Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4 to 8 P.M. The family will greet visitors that evening.
