Marvin “David” Keasling
1956 - 2026

Marvin “David” Keasling, 70, of Douglass, Kansas, passed away July 13, 2026, at his home.

Born March 13, 1956, in Winfield, Kansas, he was the son of Marvin R. and Linda (Shorter) Keasling. He was raised and received his education in Winfield, graduating from Winfield High School.

David worked as a tool coordinator for Raytheon Aircraft for over 35 years until retiring in 2010. He was an active member in the K&O Steam and Gas Engine Association. In addition to the tractor club, he enjoyed gardening, fishing and playing with his granddog, Jax.

He is survived by his daughter Tristan Trester and boyfriend Dan Spargur of Dexter; his grandson Bryson Trester of La Harpe; his brother-in-law, Dennis Burkett of Mulvane; his niece Jennifer Hill and husband, Derek of Arkansas City; his nephew Jeff Burkett of Ponca City, OK; and his great nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a son-in-law Chad Trester and his sister Linda “Gail” Burkett.

Private family services will be held at a later time under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
