With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we mourn the passing of Marvin Richard Rouch, a devoted minister, beloved father, and cherished member of the community. Marvin passed away on October 28, 2024, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 93.
Born on September 27, 1931, in Arkansas City, Kansas, Marvin dedicated his life to serving others through his work as a minister. His unwavering faith and compassionate nature touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In his journey through life, Marvin Richard Rouch exemplified the virtues of compassion, faith, and love, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to cross his path. His favorite Scripture passage was Psalm 100 along with his favorite hymn, I Am His And He Is Mine.
Marvin is survived by his loving children, Charles (Maria) Rouch; Deborah (Don) MacFarlane; sister Phyllis Griffith; brother-in-law Charles McConnell; along with five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, who continue to embody their father's/grandfather's legacy of kindness and devotion.
Marvin was preceded in death by wife Mary Ann Rouch; parents Frank and Alma Rouch; and sisters, Margie Smith and Jean McConnell.
Marvin will be laid to rest in a peaceful burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, surrounded by loved ones and the memories he created during his lifetime. A Graveside Service to honor Marvin's life will be held in the chapel building at Memorial Lawn Cemetery north of Arkansas City, Kansas on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. A visitation will be held at Miles Funeral Service in Winfield on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4 to 8 P.M., providing an opportunity for family, friends, and members of the community to pay their respects and celebrate Marvin's life.
