1960 - 2025
Mary Caye (Carolyn) Love, 65, passed away at her home on December 23, 2025.
She was born on May 31, 1960, to Arnold R. and Barbara (Caton) Love in Winfield. She graduated from Winfield High School in 1978 and attended Wichita State University and Kansas University, while working in the medical field at Snyder Clinic, WNMH, and as a first responder EMT.
An artist of oils and watercolor, she was from a long line of family artists, the Catons. Her interests included her kitties, painting, flower gardening, decorating her yard, going to auctions, garage sales, flea markets, selling on E Bay, and a consignment booth at Trunk and Treasures in Winfield.
Mary Caye was a cat lover, to say the least, and would cage ferrell cats to be spayed at the Cowley County Humane Society and then release them again, being concerned about the over population of cats in Winfield, with no one to take care of them.
A long-time, active and faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Winfield, she enjoyed the meetings and small study groups. Mary Caye was a kind, happy and generous person who loved helping others. With a gentle heart, quiet spirit and compassion, she touched many lives in her lifetime and will be greatly missed. We rejoice in knowing she has entered into eternity and the loving arms of God.
She is survived by an aunt Arlene (Love) Seeliger; several cousins; and many special friends, including Michelle Smith and family; Pete and Melissa Fuller; Dee and Mike Ledy and family; Dan, Missy, Danielle, Hannah, Schuyler, and Gracie Roberts and Tonia Rudy.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Brett.
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1112 E 19th Ave, under the direction of Miles Funeral Service.
A memorial has been established in Mary Caye’s name for the Cowley County Humane Society. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
