1937-2025
Mary Frances Jeanette Edwards, 88, passed away quietly at her daughters home in the early morning hours of Friday, September 26, 2025 in Udall, Kansas.
She was born on July 29, 1937 in Hugo, Oklahoma where she was raised and attended schools.
Through the years Mary had lived in Loveland, Colorado where she worked for
Hewlett Packard. She later moved to Wichita where she had worked for Boeing Aircraft for 40 years until retiring. She moved to Udall in the mid 1990’s.
She enjoyed shopping and had been a Mary Kay Cosmetics consultant for many years.
Mary is survived by her brother James McNeely of Hugo, OK.; children Cynthia Burke of Shawnee, OK, Melinda Morton (Mike) of Udall, KS, Bob Barnett of Sagle, ID, and her four grandchildren Christopher Gardenier of Abilene, KS, Melanie Leach of Udall, KS, Jerry Gardenier of Udall, KS, and Amanda Barnett of Murphy, Oregon. She has four great-grandchildren.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother Hazel Bostwick Phelps and step-father Buster Lee Phelps; daughters Karen Jeanette Williams, Jan Hatch; step-son Monty Williams; and brothers Harold and Bob Phelps.
Memorial services will be announced later by Affordable Cremations Plus, Wichita, Ks.
