Morea M. Bradley, 89, of Winfield, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at Cumbernauld Village surrounded by her family.
Born May 12, 1936, in Sharon, Kansas, she was the daughter of Kenneth Lawrence and Maxine Phyllis (Martin) Schiff. She was raised and received her education in Sharon, graduating from Sharon High School in 1954. Following high school, she attended Southwestern College in Winfield before beginning her family.
Morea was united in marriage to Dr. Phillip L. Bradley on April 8, 1971, at the Wee Kirk Chapel in Cedar Vale, Kansas. Morea worked with her husband as a Dental Assistant. She took great pride in being a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandparent, quitting working with her husband to help care for her grandchildren. Phil preceded her in death on November 24, 1999.
She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church as well as ESA Sorority. She supported many charities, especially those for children including St. Jude’s and Feed The Children. She enjoyed reading, collecting Santas and turtles, and was a wonderful cook. She had a pet water turtle for over 35 years. She especially loved Christmas and gathering family and friends under her roof for Christmas morning. She always said “my home, family, and Phil were all I needed to make me happy.”
Her family includes her daughters, Marci (Jim) Heck of Hutchinson; Mitzi Bryant of Arkansas City; Marya (Dan) Arnett of Overland Park; Morea (Troy) Simmons of Winfield; honorary daughter Tammy Hoag; her grandchildren, Ivy (Matt) Newton, Evan (Joeni) Young, Molly (Brock) Ratzlaff, Jarrod Bryant, Colby (Marilyn) Hammonds, Cole (Amanda) Heck, Haylee (Zach) Bryant, Maggie (Tom) O’Grady, Riley (Nik) Utz, Annie Arnett, Jake (Kylie) Simmons; and her great grandchildren, Lily, Memphis, Ryder, Jude, Asher, Owen, Zoey, Arius, Stella, and Samual; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Morea was preceded in death by her brother Daryl Schiff.
