1957-2025
Nella Lynn Gragert returned to be with the Lord on August 1, 2025.
She was born December 7, 1957 in Arkansas City, KS to Wesley Robert Gragert and Betty Mae Engelhardt Gragert. She is survived by three brothers: Lewayne Gragert of Phoenix, AZ, Stephen Mark Gragert of Oxford, KS and Norman Louis Gragert of Arkansas City. She also has many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews.
In life Nella was kind and shy. Her quiet and gentle demeanor made her who she was. She loved to read and play with her cats, particularly “Bug” who will miss her.
Nella grew up in Arkansas City, KS and attended veterinary assistant school in Wichita, KS. She served a mission in British Columbia, Canada for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It was a beautiful part of her life in sharing the gospel of Jesus. After her mission she returned to live in Utah before returning to Kansas to be near family. She was employed by the Sedgwick County Zoo in hospitality. She cherished time with family and her house mate Lori Johaness. Her family will find comfort in the peaceful life she lived.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Riverview Cemetery in Arkansas City, KS. Donations may be made to the Shelley Family Funeral Home to defray expenses.
