Patricia A. Brewer, 88, of Mulvane, Kansas, passed away Thursday morning, December 19, 2024, at Villa Maria in Mulvane.
Born August 27, 1936, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Henry and Agnes Johnson. Her family moved between Udall and Winfield, Kansas when she was very young, and she attended Winfield schools, graduating from Winfield High School in 1954.
Pat married her high school sweetheart, Larrie Brewer on July 31, 1955, in Winfield. The couple lived the majority of their life on the family farm except for the 20 years they spent in Belle Plaine. Pat had a job from the time she was fourteen years old. She did secretarial work for Derby High School before beginning her banking career at Fourth National. She then went to work at Valley State Bank in Belle Plaine where she remained for over 30 years, retiring as the Assistant Vice President of the bank. Larrie preceded her in death on February 16, 2022.
Pat was a member of First Baptist Church in Belle Plaine. She enjoyed the outdoors and being in the sun. She loved to mow and clean.
Her family includes her son Craig Alan Brewer and wife, Diana of Belle Plaine; her grandsons, Daniel Brewer (Brittany Rupp) and Joseph Brewer; and her two nieces, Tammy Smith and Terry Couchman.
In addition to her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by a sister Mary Cook and a brother Leon Johnson.
The family will hold private memorial services. Miles Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial has been established in Pat’s name for Villa Maria in Mulvane. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
