Paul Clayburn Chatterton, 70, of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.
Born on March 7, 1956, in Avon, Illinois, he was the son of retired Lt. Edward Maurice Chatterton and Mary Ann Chatterton. His father's Navy career took the family to various locations throughout the United States before they ultimately settled in Pascagoula, Mississippi.
Paul made his home in Phoenix, Arizona, and Wichita, Kansas, before settling in Arkansas City, Kansas, 30 years ago.
Paul had a lifelong love of music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Over the years, he performed with several bands and was an avid fan of 1970s classic rock. A man of deep faith, he found comfort and inspiration in watching a variety of television ministries and sharing his faith with others.
Paul is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Chatterton of Pascagoula, Mississippi; his brothers, Edward Chatterton Jr. and his wife, Jenny, of Bellingham, Washington; Keith Chatterton and his wife, Christine, of Rialto, California; and Glenn Chatterton of St. Joseph, Michigan; his sisters, Penny Chatterton of Shakopee, Minnesota, and Julie Frost and her husband, Rev. Chuck Frost, of North Carolina; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
